Multiple Listing Services across the country are “greening” their listing input forms as they seek to provide fields that will enable accurate comparable searches for REALTORS, appraisers, as well as expanded client searches, and marketing opportunities for Brokers.
In order for new “green” fields in the MLS system to provide the most advantageous information, users must understand the proper language to describe “green” features, the added values “green” features offer and the liabilities associated with providing false or misleading information in these fields. Consistent information through education of the stakeholders is a key to making the addition in the MLS system successful.
This class not only benefits REALTORS, but appraisers, lenders, builders, inspectors, and thus benefits the client’s buying and selling experience.
